Campus SEED
Nurturing curiosity in a changing world
Empowerment Beyond the Classroom
Campus SEED is an after-school integrated educational space conceptualised by NTUC First Campus. Here, children are empowered to grow through enrichment programmes co-designed with reputable partners. The programme extends empowering parents and children through an "earn-and-burn" credit system accessible through dedicated portals. By giving children autonomy over their own learning journey, children develop key skills like decision-making and problem-solving, setting them up for challenges of the future.
Singapore’s education system has always been a mighty virtue—but the world is changing. Today, success requires more than good grades. Recognising this gap in passive standardised education, we helped to conceive a space that breaks free from typical rote learning, instead fostering a mindset of curiosity, creativity, and growth in young minds.
Empowering Young Voices
Through workshops and exercises, we engaged directly with children to understand their vision of a safe and engaging learning space. Their priorities were clear: play, fun, and just as importantly, doing these activities with friends. These insights shaped Campus SEED’s purpose: cultivating a space where children can fully own their dreams and grow. This is anchored by the campus’s core principles of curiosity, freedom, and empowerment of choice.
Blooming with Possibility
The Campus SEED brand mark was created using the generative art language of processing. It depicts blooming flowers formed from text. We used our manifesto as the input text, with different text lengths creating flowers with varying levels of detail. Based off the complexity of words and illustrations, we came up with a design system that specifically caters to various age groups. Each flower is also assigned a single colour from our vibrant and playful palette, collectively showcasing the journey of a seed blossoming into a flower.
Sid, Campus Seed's friendly mascot, was also introduced to accompany children on their learning adventures. Sid appears on materials aimed at children, adding a playful element to interactions. Different versions of Sid showcase various stages of a flower's growth, reflecting the developmental needs of different age groups.
