Type in practice
Type in practice
As part of our public release of our custom typeface, Practice Sans, we developed a collection of merchandise that extends the ethos of Practice Sans beyond the screen. Sold both online and on-site at our Singapore Design Week showcase, Sans Everything, each item was designed as both a medium of application and a playful exercise in typographic context, testing how our typeface performs across form and material. Every purchase included a tiered download of the typeface family, reinforcing the idea that design, like typography, should be practical and accessible.
Agency Shirt
A shirt made by and for those navigating agency life with just enough agency. With a front that’s open to interpretation and Mango winding through a bookshelf of creative clichés on the back.
Everything Ruler
A ruler that covers all the bases. Type weight, point size, inches, centimeters. Because everything in design eventually turns into a measuring contest.
A Notebook for Everything and Nothing
A blank canvas for everything: ideas, notes, doodles, even your next typeface. As versatile as Practice Sans with arrows as an homage by The Designers Republic™ that works in every orientation (or none).
Medium Pencil
Just a perfectly ordinary medium 2B pencil, except it’s typeset in Practice Sans. Use it for writing, sketching, or leaving passive aggressive notes.
Freshly Kerned Tote
For those who kern their type as carefully as they pick their bananas. A ludicrously capacious tote designed in Practice Sans. For groceries, books, or whatever fits your practice.
By Left or By Right Socks
An entirely pointless display of Practice Sans on a pair of almost identical socks labeled Left and Right. If worn correctly, the text faces inward, visible only to you. When worn for others to see, the labels are on the wrong feet.
Helveticap
A tongue-in-cheek tribute to the ultimate graphic designer typeface: Helvetica. Practice Sans looks and shares the same roots but brings its own subtleties to the surface. Designed with a wink and a nod for those who know.
Font Specimen
A printed specimen book showing Practice Sans across styles, contexts, and uses. For type nerds and normal people alike.
