Practice Sans
A custom typeface sans pretention
A custom typeface sans pretention
Practice Sans is a custom typeface created in-house in collaboration with type designer Mark De Winne. Developed over several years across Singapore and Vietnam, it was designed to be functional and unpretentious, with a playful spirit that emerges through imaginative use. Referencing the classic proportions of Helvetica and Univers, it refines the grotesk tradition with a modern, down-to-earth sensibility that reflects the studio’s values of precision and restraint.
Type in practice
As part of our public release of our custom typeface, Practice Sans, we developed a collection of merchandise that extends the ethos of Practice Sans beyond the screen. Sold both online and on-site at our Singapore Design Week showcase, Sans Everything, each item was designed as both a medium of application and a playful exercise in typographic context, testing how our typeface performs across form and material. Every purchase included a tiered download of the typeface family, reinforcing the idea that design, like typography, should be practical and accessible. View the merch more in detail here.
